Reflecting on my academic journey spanning six years, I am grateful for witnessing the progressive transformations at Methodist College.
The introduction of the innovative BYOD e-learning approach marked a pivotal beginning. I consider myself fortunate to have been among the pioneering students to implement the use of iPads as an educational tool. The integration of iPads streamlined my academic tasks, enabling seamless note-taking and assignment submissions via user-friendly applications like Loilonote. Transitioning from Form 1 to Form 6, especially amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic, the utilization of iPads for virtual learning through platforms such as Zoom and communication with educators via Google Chat proved invaluable, significantly contributing to my success in the DSE examinations.
In Form 5, I was honored to be appointed as the inaugural captain of the Vertical House System for Shalom House. This leadership role provided me with invaluable insights into collaboration with diverse committee members possessing varied strengths, fostering stronger bonds among different classes, notably during events like Sports Day. Embracing this leadership responsibility has not only etched unforgettable memories but also catalyzed my personal growth and development.
Methodist College embodies a welcoming and supportive environment where teachers offer unwavering assistance, and classmates consistently champion one another. The College cultivates a culture of leadership, empowering students to confront the evolving challenges of the world. I am confident that my peers will capitalize on these opportunities to excel academically and actively engage in school activities. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone I have encountered at Methodist College for their contributions to my journey.
