  • It goes without saying that a school is a place where we acquire knowledge. But with the wide range of extra-curricular activities and the close bonds between teachers and students, Methodist College is so much more than just a school. Here in Methodist College, I was not only academically educated but also mentally and socially nurtured into a whole person; that can hardly be found elsewhere.

There is no doubt that Methodist College stands out when it comes to providing heuristic lessons as well as inspiring learning experiences. With appealing group activities and projects, every lesson offered is so vivid and memorable. Equally fulfilling and unforgettable were the learning experiences that were surely conducive to fostering long-lasting memory of knowledge. Aside from everyday lessons, the wide diversity of extra-curricular activities Methodist College provides are also gripping and intriguing. From Taekwondo to dancing – all the precious moments I have gone through have surely enriched my secondary school life.

The lessons and events Methodist College provides are useful and extraordinary, and so is the preparation it does for our future. Joining fully-sponsored Immersion Programmes twice – once to Singapore and once to the UK, I have encountered counterparts coming from different countries and gained deeper insights into different lifestyles and cultures. This well-equipped me to be a resilient and broadminded person, as well as someone who is responsive to changing environment and able to get along with people from all walks of life. What’s more, being the Chairperson of the BAFS Society, I had to communicate with people in charge of other organizations, and even outside institutions such as MPFA when I organized industry-related activities. All these polished my communication skills and sharpened my social interaction skills. It is undeniable that Methodist College has done a lot to shape our future.

Methodist College is where I learnt, where I prepared for my future, and most importantly, where I built life-long friendships with my classmates and teachers. It is also a place where I found my best companions, who were, are and certainly will be the ones standing by my side whenever I am in need. The interpersonal relationships I have built here can never be found anywhere else except in Methodist College.

As a graduate, I feel proud but unwilling to leave such a great and warm school – a family that has taken great care of me in these six years and nurtured my well-being for many more years to come.
