Strolling down the slope, on the last day as a Methodist student, I felt like nothing has changed, though six years have flown by. The kapok tree blossomed once again, symbolizing another successful year for the graduates. Looking back, I saw all the amazing accomplishments and wonderful friendships I have established here. I could not have managed such great feats without the support of all the kind and loving teachers of Methodist College.

Even during the pandemic years, when teaching was held online, they provided us with their full support and aided me in my quest for knowledge. Not only did the teachers prepare me academically but they have also taught me valuable life skills, from being the President of the Form Association to the President of Civic Education Society, I have learned numerous beneficial lessons.

The school is also a place for me to know who I am and inspires me with a vision of what I want to become. It has also provided me with many resources to find what I am truly passionate about. From Form 1 to Form 3, I have been fascinated by the engaging science lessons. I pursued the path of sciences from Form 4 to Form 6. Although the resources were limited, the school unlocked the hidden potential in me and enabled me to set my path to become a bio-medic person.

Learning in such unprecedented times made me cherish every moment in Methodist College. But all good things must come to an end. Knowing that it was my final time walking down the steep slope of Methodist College, I felt a sense of joy and accomplishment, followed by a sense of nostalgia.

It is strange how everyone wants to leave school, yet after studying at Methodist for six years, I have already treated this school as my home. As most of us will inevitably take our first step into society, it is difficult not to feel lost. However, knowing that the caring teachers of Methodist have guided and nurtured me to become a better individual and a leader of the new era, I will embrace my new life as a part of society.

I sincerely believe that Methodist College will nurture more outstanding individuals in the years to come and I genuinely thank Methodist College for everything it has provided me with.
